Without people who support LifePath, I would be sleeping on a park bench . . .
Justin was greatly in need of God’s love and mercy. Addiction had robbed him of everything—home, family, friends, and hope that he could ever break free. That’s when God led him to LifePath . . .
It wasn’t the first time Justin visited LifePath. He’d come through the mission doors before, desperate for a meal.
Support from caring friends provided that $2.17 meal, plus heartfelt prayer, genuine compassion, and an invitation to learn more about the Christ-centered care that saves and changes lives at LifePath. That day, however, Justin chose to eat the meal he urgently needed and head back out to the city streets he called his home.
But the seeds of hope and faith were planted over that meal. So later, when God spoke to him, Justin listened.
He listened . . . and dared to trust, dared to hope, allowing God to lead him back through the doors here at LifePath where his fresh start could begin.
“I was out there on the streets, homeless. I came in and started to learn more about what LifePath does,” Justin says. “I really like that this place is focused around God. They want us to have food and shelter, but they really want us to find God, and that’s important to me.”
Justin is still amazed by the many kindnesses shown to him by people who choose to support LifePath. “I had completely disengaged from family and friends. But the night I came in here, I felt that I was part of something, part of the community,” he says. “It feels good, and I’m grateful. Without people who support LifePath, I would be sleeping on a park bench.”
With Easter fast approaching, Justin is overjoyed to have built a relationship with Jesus Christ and is committed to making the most of every God-given opportunity. He says, “I’m working to get a job. I’m working to recover from substance abuse. I go to counseling and attend the groups here. I want it. I’ve had the lowest of lows, and I want a better life.”
On behalf of transformed lives like Justin’s, thank you for your prayers and partnership with LifePath! Please share another gift today to reach more souls in your community who are hungry, homeless, hurting, and without hope!
