Rooted in Stability

At the center of the building will be a beautiful dining hall highlighted by historic brick arches and expansive windows that fill the room with natural light. Meals will be served at round tables designed to encourage conversation, connection, and community. This space will become more than a dining area — it will be a place where relationships are built; encouragement is offered, and guests begin to regain a sense of belonging.

The renovation of 475 W Philadelphia St will create a space intentionally designed around dignity, safety, and hospitality. Guests will enter through a new, light-filled reception area that replaces the institutional feel often associated with emergency shelters. Natural light, open spaces, and thoughtful design will create an environment that communicates respect and welcome from the moment someone arrives. A covered entrance will allow individuals to wait safely out of the weather and off the street while accessing services. Inside, the building will provide a coordinated system of care where individuals can receive not only shelter but also the guidance and support needed to move toward stability.
