I'm so filled with joy right now

Suddenly homeless, A.J. made a call to LifePath hoping for a kind word, a safe place to stay, and help getting back on her feet.

A.J. once volunteered at LifePath’s Roses in Winter event, so she already knew where meals, help, and hope can be found when life throws you a curveball. Suddenly homeless, with nowhere else to turn, she made the call . . .

“I knew LifePath was a Christian ministry. I just needed a bed and a place to stay,” she says, blinking back tears. “I was supposed to have volunteered at the Women’s Shelter, and then I ended up living there.”

A warm welcome awaited A.J.

The simple comforts of a warm meal, safe refuge, and fellowship with other believers made A.J. feel right at home and opened her heart to learn how staff and volunteers would help her find meaningful work and regain her independence.

With help from LifePath’s many Christ-centered programs, A.J. began to trust in God and equip herself for a fresh start in life where no worldly challenge could derail her hopes and dreams.

A.J.’s Fresh Start in Life

Within six months, A.J. graduated from the program, landed a great job as a pre-school aide, reconnected with family and God, and moved into her own apartment!

“I’m so filled with joy right now . . . I’m just so grateful for LifePath. I’m so grateful for Jesus!

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” she says with a confident smile, referencing her favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13. “If it wasn’t for Jesus, I wouldn’t have made it.”

Warm Thanks for LifePath Donors

A.J. doesn’t want to think about where she might be if LifePath hadn’t had space for her on the day she called.

“Honestly, this journey, it teaches you so much about things we take for granted. Having a warm bed you can sleep in, a hot shower, a fridge full of food. There are so many individuals on the street with no shoes on, women who have no sanitary products, and babies who have no formula to drink.

“The average human being doesn’t realize that they’re one paycheck away from being right out there with those people. You can lose your job, your car, your house, and everything in one day. I am so grateful and so thankful to LifePath and all of their donors.”

Thank you for partnering with LifePath to bring NEW LIFE to neighbors in need, like A.J., this resurrection season and all year long!
